This weekend we met up with two other couples from college days. One couple lives in Boston and the other from Philadelphia. We picked Jim Thorpe, PA as a mid way point for the Boston and Burke crowds, and reserved two camp sites and a cabin - one of the couples is new to the camping stuff.
It rained off and on for most of the weekend, but it did not dull the fun at all. We cooked smores, ate kosher hot dogs, grilled some steaks, took long walks around the lake, played with the dogs at and in the water, and had long fire side chats.
The weekend also included two stops at Cabela's - the outdoors sportsman paradise. It is a super large two story store with a large mountain in the middle displaying various stuffed animals from grizzlies to rams to bunnies.
The weekend overall was great, though I could have used a little less spent at Cabela's :) We are already trying to set up the next trip.
