Some friends from New Jersey came to DC this week for a week long tourist vacation. We were only able to catch up with them tonight, but took then to Tenpen. It's an asian fusian joint downtown. I love thier scallops with a sweet yet tangy sauce. As a novice cook those are still hard for me to get just right, so I appreciate when I can get ones done just right.
We then took them out for what I am thinking of as out token tour by parkign near FDR and walking from the Lincoln memorial to the Vietnam memorial to the Korean memorial to FDR and along the water.
Luckily, the evening cooled off a abit from the heat of the summer day, and the rain held off for 24 hours.
