This weekend was fun through New Jersey. Kat got out of work late, so it was a late night drive to Sandy Rollins' place. With an early morning wake up call, we were able to hit the beach by noon and say hi to the Shurig side of the family. Greg got greased up, but Kat forgot that the sun can burn your skin. Oh Aloe, how I love you now!
The next day is was over to the Rollins' side to see family and puppies. The Evan nieces were in town, so we got to swim most of the day away with them in the pool.
We rounded out the weekend with a delicious spaghetti with elk meatballs and homemade sauce. Greg's birthday request for his dad. It is one of the family recipes I need a few more years to even get close to the perfection.
