This weekend Greg's mom came in town with two of his cousins. I got to greet them at the townhouse door with Greg's mom holding a rock band guitar. Yes, they had been in the house for just about an hour and Greg already had them playing RB2.
We headed out right away for a quick bite at Villa Bella, our local Italian restaurant. It has a cool atmosphere and decent food. The portions are huge which means everyone shared.
Saturday we headed downtown to see the mall. Kristen really wanted to see the Holocaust museum, so we walked through that one first. The architecture was awesome and helped to tell the story.
As the weather was so perfect, we took a stroll around the tidal basin and got some cool shots of the family. Next we drove to the Capital Hill area and searched for some cool shopping at the Eastern Market. Katie and Kristen both seemed to have fun walking around, but Katie was ready for a real mall.
To satiate this need, Greg drove us out to Potomac Mills in VA. We pushed hard and almost saw the whole mall. With hungry tummies we looked for a place to stop on the way home. Cheesecake Factory seemed to call us all, so we reminisced of college parents days and had an awesome meal. Everyone packed up some of their dinner, so we could share a super sized slice of oreo cheesecake.
Sunday was more relaxed with Greg and I hanging out with Sandy and Kristen and Katie playing RB2. Then we parted ways as the Eagles were on against the Redskins and the Phillies had a game later that night.
