This weekend we headed up with Tim to Natick Massachusetts. The reason was to Nikky and Jared get married.
Friday was a horrible drive. Even with a GPS system traffic caused the trip to take over 9 hours. Luckily, we are good friends so no blood was spilled or friendships destroyed. When we got the hotel we did check in and run in separate directions though.
As it was peak foliage this weekend, Nikky arranged for apple picking at a winery Saturday. A rehearsal dinner in downtown Natick Saturday night. The ceremony was at 4pm allowing the sun to cross the sky, the temperature to drop just a little and the colors to flare into brilliance.
The reception was held at the arboretum where the ceremony was held. It was great to see quite a few friends from AU as both Jared and Nikky are alumni of the school. There was an after party to the reception for the younger crowd. This allowed the Phillies fans to watch the end of the game. Unfortunately, it was a game lost.
Monday was back in the car for the 8 our drive home.
