Tonight we got to celebrate Greg's promotion. It had become official a couple days ago, but this was the first night we could truly set aside to celebrate.
He chose Trummer's On Main in downtown historic Clifton, VA. We have passed by the little inn many times during out day trips into Clifton, but this was our first time inside. The back lit marble on the bar immediate caught my eye.
Up a short flight of stairs to our table, and we were to enjoy even more atmosphere with vaulted ceilings large windows and a fresh sleek contemporary design.
The best thing on the menu ended up being a pork shoulder dish Greg got. It was so tasty with meat that just falling off the bone. The best dish I got was a tomato and risotto appetizer.
I think both of us are already looking forward to returning. A chat with the waitress also told us that the menu can change at any time, but normally it changes with seasons. A new surprise of new selections may be in store for us next time.
