Bosnian World of Food

We got to hit the old neighborhood in Alexandria for World of food tonight. Since snow and ice was expected, we took the new truck for a spin. Greg also got to show it off to our friends.

Though situated next to a Gold gym, the food was great at Cosmopolitan Grill. It is a blend of European and American dishes, but the chef came out and offered us a great deal for platter style. They only had one chef and there were 12 of us, so I can not blame him for wanting it this way. At least one owner is Bosnian, so the menu did have some excellent choices.

We started with a Greek salad and Burek (Hand Stretched fillo dough stuffed with: cheese, meat, spinach and cheese or potato). The main dishes were Wiener schnitzel, Jaeger schnitzel, Pikata chicken schnitzel, steak, Ćevapčići (homemade sausages) and Ražnjići (spiced grilled chicken skewers) with a grilled veggie bowl on the side.

It was also a great deal for the amount of food. They did have a small selection of beers and wines as well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a very casual dinner with just one or two other folks.
