Restaurant Week

DC has a cool thing called Restaurant Week. It occurs twice a year and basically invites people to try new places. The fun part is that all prices are fixed before hand, but you can order off the regular menu as well.

We went to Grillfish this year with Jason (Greg's freshman year roomie) and Kaela (a good friend that we do WoF with). It is a small upscale restaurant downtown DC that specializes in seafood. It has an open air feel with and open kitchen and a more intimate balcony seating area.

We had everything from tuna tartar and mussels to steak and scallops. The restaurant week menu is a three course deal. So while we got dessert, it was a struggle to actually finish them off. It is always nice going with a group, since it allowed for each of us to get different items and share them for a little flavor of the whole menu.

Maybe in the fall I will actually be on top of things and get us a reservation or two, so we can hit more then one place.
