Star Wars

Yes, total dorkatude, but awesome at the same time. We met up with friends at the Verizon Center in the Chinatown neighborhood of DC. The experience was to see 'Star Wars in Concert' during an afternoon show.

Before the show their were lots of props, tourist photo stops, original sheet music, and other paraphernalia to glance through and take pictures of. Finally we made it our section and headed up the escalators which gave us time to really people watch.

We were a little confused when upon arriving at our destination there were ropes and a staff person directing people to an elevator. This did not look promising as we had 11 people in our group and had specifically gotten cheaper seats to keep us all together. Within a short time another staff person came up and gave us our new tickets. We ended up being eye level with the stage in the bleacher section - big bump up! They also kept us all together.

Overall a fun concert, it was a medley of music from all the movies with guest star C-3PO narrating.
