Alumni Weekend and the Renaissance Faire

This weekend was got a nice surprise when our college friend Nikky was able to visit us in VA. Friday she arrived, but she was dedicated to wedding related stuff with Lynda Lyons.

Saturday was filled with dark clouds and cold rain, so we met with some other college friends for brunch at Spartan's, our local Greek diner. Sarah Goldstein and her husband, Dan, were there along with Lynda and Nikky. Sarah is 7th months pregnant and looking very happy.

We all parted for a couple hours for Nikky to visit some other folks, Lynda to head back to PA, and Greg and I to go shopping. Both of us have been putting off shoe shopping for too long. But when the heel broke on my black boots last week, it was time.

We joined back up with Nikky for a nice dinner in Old Town Alexandria. Michelle, Jason, Alexis, and Tim were all able to join us.

Sunday was a gorgeous day and perfect for outdoor stuff. We packed Nikky up, grabbed Tim, and headed into Maryland for the annual Renaissance Faire near Annapolis, MD. Greg played a few games and won some prizes - like a free beer! We got to see the jousting event which looked a little more real then Medieval Times.

I finally took some photos (below) before we had to drop Nikky for her flight back to Boston.
