Wine Festival

This year we were not able to make it to the VA wine festival in June, so we were happy to see that they added another date in September. We gathered a group for this afternoon of drinking fine, tasty and sometimes odd Virginia wines. I drove this year as a thank you to Greg for driving last year as my birthday surprise.

This year we had a larger group at 8 total. The boys left early to get in some target practice on Bull Run Park, and the girls drove later and met them there. It was a a gorgeous day which meant the crowds were heavy. This meant long lines, so each tasting was followed by ordering one bottle to get us through the next line. We only made it through a couple tents, and then we were sidetracked by the fancy shops with jewelry, wine holders, and other stuff.

As they called last tasting, we rinsed out glasses grabbed some water and headed to our cars.

Another year down and another great toast to VA and the wines it produces.
