First Half of May

The first half May has been filled with movies, crazy weather, friends and family.

We saw X-Men Evolution. To say the least this was a disappointment. The effects were sub par and even the story seemed to be lacking. Apparently too much money has been given to the Marvel projects.

We also saw Star Trek. While I do love my scifi, I will admit when a movie falls short for fans or the general public. This movie excelled at both. You don't need to be a fan to enjoy the story, characters, action, wit or humor. Being a fan will increase the pleasure in seeing this movie though. As it adds another layer to see the characters you know say their lines or to hear those catchy old computer noises from childhood.

We have been having steadily more summer like weather around here with almost 80 degree temps and sunshine. Then the past two weeks we had lots of rain and 90 degree to 60 degree weather. Apparently we just thought we were in summer as it was May.

The beginning of May had us back in Jersey to finish setting Gram's house up for the new owners. We rented a truck and have established sometime next year when we may once more be able to use the basement. It has given me lots of projects which I love!

We did not get to see our mom's on mothers day, but wished them love via phone and with tulips. We get to see each within the weeks before or after, so enjoyed one of the now rare weekends at home.
