This year's valentine's day was celebrated a day late, as yesterday we had just arrived home around dinner time from a great ski trip in PA.
We had been talking about trying a new restaurant at Fair Oaks Mall, so Greg made reservations and we found the land of meat also known as Texas de Brazil, a churrascaria, here in Burke, VA. It is a restaurant with a large salad bar and unlimited meats delivered on skewers by gauchos walking around.
This was only after another small snow storm passed through, but with our once more two lane roadway, we did not mind the two inches of fresh snow to make everything pretty and white again. What we did mind was the couple of hours chipping ice away from the outside of our house and the first round of checks for roof damage. We measured the ice on the deck alone to be about 4 inches thick.
The roses pictured are what I found in my seat in the car when we left for dinner. Greg made them white to continue this year's winter theme.
