SNOW!!

This weekend we got our first (and possibly last) true snow accumulation of the year. Even with over a foot of snow we had a couple friends who braved the weather for our holiday party. We had warm goodies and egg nog to keep them warm, and there was even a shoveling party the next day.

We were able to drive just a mile down the street to a neighborhood bar and watch the Eagles game Sunday. It had to be moved to a 4pm start, as the opposing team could not get into Philly. We met up with more friends there at the bar as the main roads were pretty clear.

As the first half of almost all the games came to a close, the bar rose in a united cheer, as the 'federal government will be closed Monday' scrolled across all the screens. Since we did not have to rush home to bed, we walked to a friends house for some late night rock band in celebration of the day off.

Then Kat got to drive home..... and eventually we made it home with car in tacked and actually reaching 30 mph at one point.
